Local councils, provincial bodies and safe-night points
Custom anti-spiking drink covers for councils and safe-night points
A scrunchie that turns into a cover for the glass, with your council's logo and your campaign message. People wear it all night and use it again at the next party.
In short: Tailsip makes custom anti-spiking drink-cover scrunchies for public bodies. Each scrunchie hides an elastic cover in a pocket; it covers the glass and lets a straw through. Minimum order 500 units with your logo, delivered in 15–40 working days anywhere in Spain.
Why a scrunchie
Safe-night material that gets used, not thrown away
Many safe-night points ("puntos violeta" in Spain) hand out adhesive drink covers or leaflets. A scrunchie adds something those materials lack: it stays with the person.
Worn all night long
It goes in the hair or on the wrist, so it is at hand every time someone puts their drink down. It doesn't get lost in a pocket or end up on the floor.
Takes your message to every party
Your logo and campaign colours travel with the person: at the local festival, through the summer and on the next nights out.
Draws people to the safe-night point
It is something people want to take home. That opens the conversation about consent, looking after each other and what to do if spiking is suspected.
Reusable and washable
It is machine washable and can be used again and again. It fits campaigns that want to cut single-use plastic.

Calendar
How far ahead should you order?
With a lead time of 15 to 40 working days, it is wise to ask for a quote about two months before the hand-out. That leaves time to approve the spending and produce without rushing.
- Carnival: order in December.
- Spring festivals and Easter: order in January or February.
- Summer and local festivals: order in April or May.
- Autumn festivals, Halloween and New Year's Eve: order in August or September.
Which material
Scrunchie, adhesive cover or silicone lid
Adhesive covers are the cheapest per unit, but single-use: they suit a mass hand-out on one night. Silicone lids are reusable, but people have to remember to carry them. A drink-cover scrunchie costs more per unit, is worn and reused, which is why it works better when the goal is a campaign that is seen and lasts.
We explain it with guide prices from public contracts in our comparison of anti-spiking drink covers.
Campaign message
How to hand it out without blaming anyone
A drink cover reduces the chance of someone slipping something into a drink, but responsibility for an assault always lies with the attacker. That is why we recommend handing it out together with information:
- A message aimed at everyone, not only women: "If you see something, act".
- What to do if spiking is suspected: call 112, don't leave the person alone and go to a hospital.
- Spain's 016 helpline, free and 24 hours, for victims of violence against women.
- Where the safe-night point is and its opening hours.
We cover it with official sources in our guide Drink spiking and chemical submission: what it is, how to prevent it and what to do.

A common material
Other councils that hand out drink covers
Handing out drink covers at festivals is now common practice at Spanish safe-night points. Two public examples from other suppliers, which show how this material is bought:
- The safe-night point at the Moralzarzal (Madrid) festival handed out 850 scrunchies with a drink cover in 2022 (council news, in Spanish).
- Aranjuez council awarded a minor contract in 2026 for 5,000 custom adhesive drink covers with straws for €1,213 excluding VAT, as material to prevent gender-based violence (contract record, in Spanish).
Questions from councils and organisations
What is the minimum order for a council?
500 units with full customisation (logo and colours). If your campaign needs a different quantity, write to us and we will find the best option.
Can you prepare a quote for a minor contract?
Yes. We send a formal quote with the product, customisation, amount and lead time so you can process the purchase. If you need an electronic invoice (FACe) or other paperwork, mention it in your request.
How far ahead do we need to order?
Production takes 15 to 40 working days. We recommend asking for a quote about two months before the hand-out to leave time for approving the spending.
Can we add the council crest and the campaign logo?
Yes. We print the logo or design you send us and adapt the fabric colours to the campaign's look.
Does it fit any glass?
It is elastic and fits the vast majority of standard glasses, such as highball glasses and balloon glasses. It may not fit very wide jugs or oversized containers.
Is it hygienic to hand out scrunchies?
The cover that goes over the glass is kept in an inner pocket and never touches the hair. The whole scrunchie is machine washable.
